2013 New Zealand Search and Rescue Council Awards

On Tuesday 13 May 2014, Associate Transport Minister Hon Michael Woodhouse will present the 2013 New Zealand Search and Rescue (NZSAR) Council Awards. These awards are presented annually in recognition of outstanding achievements in Search and Rescue nationwide.

Representatives from the New Zealand Police, Rescue Coordination Centre, AREC, New Zealand Coastguard, LandSAR, Surf Life Saving New Zealand along with other Search and Rescue sector organisations will be in attendance.

Those receiving awards are:

Gold Award – Operational Activity

The NZSAR Gold Award for Operational Activity is awarded for a very significant contribution to search and rescue in the New Zealand Search and Rescue Region during 2013.
